I'm delighted to announce that we have won SILVER at the British Travel Awards 2020!
The awards are the biggest in the UK for the tourism and hospitality industry and, though there's usually a glamorous London ceremony for the nominees, this year was obviously a little different. There was instead a small online ceremony that was hosted by Alex Jones from the BBC’s The One Show. The winners were announced by Alex and I'm absolutely thrilled that Sally's Cottages have once again won Silver in the category for Best UK Self Catering / Cottage Holiday Company.
Because of everything else that has been going on in 2020, we hadn’t applied for any awards this year, so it was extra special to find out that we’d not only been nominated, but also awarded Silver. I would love to say a huge thank you, not only to everyone who voted, but also to everyone who has supported us throughout this year. Whether that's the staff who have been working extra hard, cottage owners who have been flexible with ongoing changes and updates, visitors who have booked a stay when safe, or those who sent positive words of support.
The Lake District and Cumbria has been extra quiet this year, but it's still here looking as beautiful as always, and we're looking forward to an excellent 2021!
