Sally’s Lake District Cottages: Season's Greetings

2011 has been a fantastic year here at Sally’s Lake District Cottages.  We have had more visitors than ever come and stay at our cottages during 2011 and we’ve had lots of positive feedback and lots of returning visitors, which is really satisfying and always gives us a buzz here.

Sally's Cottages office in Keswick
It’s hard to believe that it’s nearly a year since we moved into our fabulous new offices here in Keswick. It’s been a great advert for us and it gives our owners and visitors a great opportunity to come in and say hello - please don’t hesitate to pop in and pick up a brochure if you passing.

We have also had two new recruits in 2011 as Deborah and Suzanna have joined us this year. Deborah has already been here for eight months and has been a brilliant addition to the team. Suzanna started in mid December, is already fitting in really well and is a fountain of local knowledge – she knows the Lake District like the back of her hand and is already getting to grips with the details of all of the cottages, so if you have any questions about whether a cottage will be suitable for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

The Hydrant team made a major upgrade to the website during the summer, making sure that it is as user friendly as possible and that we keep up with the ever-changing internet.  We have been really pushing our SEO and are constantly improving our position on the search engines.  If anyone has any suggestions for how to improve our website, we're always keen to hear from you.

In December Sally was named Cumbrian Business Woman of the Year by the Cumbria Chamber of Commence for her contribution to the economy of Cumbria, as well as for being an inspiration to other women in business.

On top of all this, Mike had a little baby girl called Carys in February and Philip got engaged on the summit of Mount Kenya in August.

We would like to wish all of our visitors and cottage owners a happy and prosperous New Year.
