Sally's Cottages Manager Shortlisted for Award

Sally’s Cottages staff member Rebecca Laff has been shortlisted as Employee of the Year in the North West Family Business Awards.

Rebecca, who has worked with the holiday cottage letting agency since 2013, now manages 15 people and is responsible for the company’s award-winning customer service team.

Sally Fielding, founder and director of Sally’s Cottages, put Rebecca’s name forward for the award. “Rebecca has been a vital part of the team since she joined,” Sally explains, “She is a quick learner who has always believed in the business. It has been wonderful to see her develop from customer services advisor to manager of the fabulous team of people who work at Sally’s Cottages. I couldn’t be happier that she’s been shortlisted for this award – she really deserves it!”

Originally from Warrington, Rebecca moved to Cumbria in 2010. After a series of seasonal jobs, she joined Sally’s Cottages in the customer services team in 2013. Her role is now the management of the main Keswick office and includes overseeing other members of staff on different shift patterns, as well as dealing with a wide range of customers and freelancers that include cottage owners, visitors, cleaners, and maintenance people. “It’s a difficult job because of the range of work and people involved,” adds Sally, “but Rebecca always approaches it with utter professionalism, enthusiasm and class.”

When she’s not in the office, Rebecca can often be seen out on her bike or hiking on the fells.
