What better way to brighten a rainy Friday morning than with a NEW COTTAGE?

The Malabar holiday cottage in the Yorkshire DalesWe've got a brand spanking new property and it's nothing short of a Corker! May I introduce you to The Malabar in Sedbergh!

It sleeps 12 with space for an additional four children on sofa beds, bringing the total up to 16. The Malabar is also pet-friendly, welcoming three dogs!

Dining room at The Malabar in SedberghThe word luxury doesn't even come close to describing this fabulous holiday home. You'll first step through the double patio doors to enter the grand dining room with its large mahogany table. Conveniently connected to this room is the kitchen with no less than THREE ovens, as well as everything else you could wish for when catering for a large party.

King size bedroom at The Malabar in SedberghThe six bedrooms - or should I say suites? - are spread across the first floor and lower ground floor. Every single one is uniquely decorated and each has both a roll top bath and separate shower in its en suite bathroom.

En suite bathroom at The Malabar in SedberghThe Malabar has WiFi and a wood burner, too. This is exactly the sort of place you would want to come and wind down!

As for where the name originates, you've got me there! It could be any of the following:

  • An area of south western India
  • People originating from that region
  • A volcano in Indonesia
  • A minor planet orbiting the sun (my personal favourite)
