Welcoming five guests and two dogs, this is a wonderful retreat for those looking to dodge the crowds and simply bask in spectacular scenery. The middle cottage of a small terrace of three, Little Christcliff is charm personified: from the wood burner and cute window seat in the living room to the exposed beams and floorboards throughout, this cottage certainly isn't short of characterful features! A real home-from-home, Little Christcliff is just perfect if you're after the great outdoors coupled with a good dose of rest & relaxation.
On entry, the handy porch/hallway is the ideal spot for shrugging off damp coats and boots before heading into the cosy living room. Complete with requisite wood burner, you might find it hard to leave the sofa! If hunger calls and you can rouse yourself, you'll find the country kitchen at the back of the property with a door to the enclosed rear yard. Why not throw open the door so you and your dogs can potter in and out whilst tea is cooking? The quirky dining area sits in an alcove off the kitchen and there's even a handy external utility room in the back yard.
Once the last embers have faded away, you'll be ready to head up the stairs where you'll have the choice of three bedrooms. The lovely master bedroom and charming single both have those stunning mountain views, whilst the cosy second double bedroom can be found at the back of the house. The family bathroom is on the half landing - traditional in style but with a shower over the bath, it certainly has everything that you'll be needing after a day on the fells!
The very best bit is saved until last: the amazing front garden and its breathtaking vista. I think you'll agree that the setting is pretty magical and the front garden really does make the most of this - pick a seat, grab a glass of something chilled and feel all your troubles simply drift away...
