On the edges of the Lake District National Park as you trundle along through The Green, shortly followed by a steady ascent over The Hill, you'll find yourself winding through the lanes until you reach Underhill.
Name like something from a JRR Tolkien novel, Haystacks is a cosy one-bed apartment sleeping two attached to Underhill Farmhouse. It has an elevated position and takes in the breathtaking views over the fields and distant fells as well as the Duddon Estuary in between. The balcony is perfectly positioned to take advantage of those views and makes the ideal spot to enjoy a morning cuppa or early evening G&T.
Although it is an apartment with one bedroom, it is surprisingly spacious. With high ceilings, it is open plan in regards to the kitchen, dining area and lounge, meaning it has a sociable feel to it. It has a large double bedroom and good-size bathroom and is well equipped with everything you could want from a holiday cottage. They have Wifi and are pet friendly, charging only £10 per night for a dog (usually charge, £20). There is even a small garden you can take advantage of, which is quite rare for an apartment.
