Perfectly named, The Escape is a bolthole away from modern-day life. Part of a stonebuilt terrace of houses nestled in a quiet cul de sac of the village, there is no TV, no WiFi and limited mobile signal. That means you can put away your screens for your holiday and enjoy a relaxing digital detox amongst the stunning scenery of the area!
You couldn't find a better place to act as a base. As soon as you enter the house you're in an open plan living-dining area complete with modern furnishings, a slate flagged floor, and a traditional fireplace built from stone collected from all corners of the Lake District and Cumbria. The dining table also functions as a games table: you can bring along your own board games or cards, or take a pick from the selection left in the cottage. There are also books for you to leaf through while you settle down into the comfy leather sofa.
The flagged floor continues on into the bijoux modern kitchen. Though small in size, it has everything you need to provide a meal for one or two: electric oven and hob, larder fridge and storage space for your food and drink.
Also on the ground floor is the bathroom with its over-bath shower.
Up the wooden open-tread staircase you will find the spacious carpeted bedroom with double bed and a wardrobe. This is a cleanly decorated room where you can be sure of a good night's rest!
Outside is a small space where you can enjoy the morning sun, and parking is on the road.
The Escape is a pet-friendly cottage sleeping 2 guests and welcome up to 2 dogs.
