Sally's Cottages' newest holiday property, Ardale House, can be found right in the heart of the ever popular village of Threlkeld. There are walks from the door, a lovely café, and two popular pubs - what more could you need for a week's holiday?! Keswick is a short drive away whilst Ullswater and the South Lakes are also within easy reach - Threlkeld really is a great place to base yourself...
And at what better cottage than Ardale House? The open fire in the living room is perfect for cosy evenings in and the dining kitchen is ideal for catching up over a home cooked meal - if you don't fancy tea in the pub, that is! Ardale House has been in the same family since it was built is 1976 - the grandfather clock in the hallway is a nod to this being a much loved family holiday home.
Upstairs you'll find the the bedrooms: the light-filled twin bedroom is at the front of the house, the master is a delightful double with lovely views over the garden, and the cosy bunk room is ideal for older children. The modern bathroom is very swish: recently updated with a bath and separate shower cubicle, this is the perfect spot for relaxing after a day scaling neighbouring Blencathra.
Heading outside, there's parking for two cars along with a sweet lawned garden to the front of the house. At the rear is a wonderful enclosed back garden. Surrounded by mature trees and a nearby stream, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better spot to while away a few hours with a good book. For those who fancy bringing some bikes or canoes, the large garage is on hand for secure storage.
