Keswick is a happy town: the residents are happy with their lot and the visitors happy to have a chance to experience briefly the picturesque location, the many local walks, the romanticized fells, and the archetypal lake. With a character all its own, there can be few small towns that offer more pubs, cafes and restaurants and have a cinema and theatre.

Great house for a large family group. Bedrooms were lovely and the kitchen was well equipped. We loved the big dining room. The weather was mostly awful but the house was really warm and cosy. The house was close to Keswick and to walks. We had trouble with a few door handles falling off ( !) and the settees were not very comfortable but I know the new owner is addressing these issues.

Hi Judith, I am so delighted to hear that you had such a great stay despite the weather. It really is a wonderfully cosy cottage, isnt it? It sounds like you did plenty of exploring too! Here's to more cosy escapes!

Excellent location and size. Decor and rooms are a bit dated now so could do with a bit of a refurb. Clean and tidy and had everything we needed.
