Forming part of the magnificent 18th century Orton Hall, Naseby is a beautiful one bedroom first floor apartment just perfect for 2 people to relax in beautiful surroundings.
Gracious and welcoming, you'll feel instantly at home in Naseby. The modern kitchen is well equipped with everything you'll need for a self catering holiday. As well as plenty of crockery, utensils, and glasses for all occasions, there's an electric oven /grill and hob, kettle, toaster, large fridge-freezer, handy microwave and a dishwasher - there'll be no fighting over who has to do the washing up here! The kitchen area is open plan to the rest of the living accommodation. The part wood panelled walls make for a cosy and relaxing living area. Curl up in front of the electric fire in its tiled fireplace with a good book (there's a selection of fiction and local reference books & maps in the cabinet) or relax on the elegant sofa for a night of TV /DVD watching. An HDMI cable is provided for hooking up streaming devices to the TV. The dining table is perfectly positioned in the large mullioned & lead-paned bay window. Enjoy breakfast with a view as you look out over the rear lawns and woodland - be sure to keep an eye out for any of the wildlife and birds who like to pay Orton Hall a visit too.
Off the living room is the spacious en suite king-size bedroom with ample drawer and wardrobe storage space, plus full length mirror, hairdryer and radio alarm. The bed is positioned by the stone mullioned window with its view over the surrounding grounds, just perfect for that morning cup of tea in bed! Off the bedroom is the en suite bathroom: along with the usual facilities you'll find a spa bath with a power shower over, and an electric heated towel rail.
Downstairs is the communal Main Hall. This superb mahogany-panelled room with grand fireplace and mullioned windows includes a snooker/pool table, chess table and comfortable armchairs where you can simply relax and enjoy the ambience. Accomplished players are welcome to put the baby grand piano to good use.
There is also a laundry room off the front lobby with a coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer.
Outside, holidaymakers have access to 5 acres of well-groomed parkland. Beautiful lawned areas with a fountain and fishpond are sure to delight. Follow the short woodland path up through the trees to find a lovely 180-degree panorama stretching from Orton Scar round to the Howgill Fells. Take an insulated mug up to the seat here in the morning to plan your day, keeping an eye out for the resident red squirrels. If you wish to take a stroll up to the nearby village centre, the hall has a rear drive which allows a pleasanter approach than along the main road.
