Moor Head is a beautiful cottage set in the charming village of Eskdale Green. It offers flexible accommodation for six to eight people with bags of space to spread out in one of its three living areas or its lovely gardens. While it might look traditional from the outside this image belies its modern high spec interior, making the most of its traditional features but offering a luxurious and comfortable place to relax. There's a wonderfully well equipped kitchen for the foodies among you while teens and tweens will be delighted with the living spaces, one with a huge Smart TV and another boasting an Xbox. There's even a pool table set up in an outbuilding to keep everybody entertained on rainy days.
The house is set right in the heart of Eskdale making it a perfect starting point for a family or group hoping to make the most of this lovely spot. The Eskdale Valley is one of the most unspoilt areas in the National Park, from here you can make the most of some wonderful walking and cycling opportunities, take a marvellous narrow gauge steam engine to the nearby coast or just relax and enjoy the wonderful views in the valley that Wainwright described as “One of Lakeland’s loveliest”. It’s a place of hidden treasures with crystal clear rivers, dramatic waterfalls and even a Japanese garden lovingly restored from its Victorian heyday.
Why not make the most of the huge choice of walks and cycle rides from the door? There's ample space to store bikes in the lockable shed so its ideal if you want to explore the area on two wheels. Alternatively enjoy one of Eskdale wonderful fell walks. Muncaster Fell is easily accessed from the house, you could take in the five mile walk down to the coast at Ravenglass then take the La'al Ratty steam engine back! Alternatively just enjoy your surroundings in the glorious gardens or perhaps calling in at one of the valley's five pubs for a home cooked meal and a pint of real ale. However you choose to spend your break Moor Head is perfectly placed to make the most of this glorious area.
