The cottage is charming and well appointed with good kitchen utensils and very comfortable beds. It was good to walk in to a nice, warm, cosy home-from-home upon arrival - and the wood fire was most welcome on a couple of nights. The location is perfect for exploring the entire Lake District by car. Local amenities are more than limited - but we knew this when we booked. The nearby Whitewater Hotel Restaurant is not currently welcoming non-residents but we can recommend The Swan, 10 minutes drive away. (Can also recommend fish and chips, afternoon teas, Sunday roasts at a variety of venues!). There is an excellent M&S Food Hall at Ulveston (15 minutes drive). Highly recommend this cottage.

A beautiful, well equipped cottage. Even the bed clothes smelled floral. The bed was very comfortable, and the location peaceful. Parking was sometimes a little difficult but that's true of any rural location. Same for amenities, it is rural but a short ride from many places. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
