Hi Sue, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? You couldn't have chosen a better location if you enjoy getting out on the fells. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Gorgeous cottage in a fabulous location. Take water shoes to paddle in the stream behind the cottage. Great walks directly from the door and a pub just a few minutes walk away. Sadly our holiday was cut short so planning to return.

A lovely cottage in a quiet location in countryside. A very well appointed kitchen with a good supply of cooking equipment and including freshly topped up hand wash, dishwasher powder, disinfectant spray etc. The bedrooms are a good size but the sitting room is on the small size for six people. [there were only 4 of us]. It could do with at least one more chair as the footstool is not comfortable for sitting on for any length of time. There was decent wifi and freeview tv. We did several walks from the door including up Catbells which is in good view from the bedroom windows. The cottage is in large grounds which it shares with another cottage and the owners cottage but as much of this was woodland I did not dare let my dog off lead . There is a sitting out area behind the cottage and perhaps a small fence here might make this a small secure area for dogs. There are no shops within walking distance but it is only a 4mile drive to Keswick [which was very crowded - emphasising how peaceful Mill Cottage is!] There is a pub locally but when we tried to book for a meal it was full so we never made it there. All in all a lovely place for a week's holiday.

Hello Judy, It's a lovely place to escape from the hustle and bustle for a while, isn't it? Come back any time, you can be sure of a very warm welcome.
