The cottage was brilliant and we had a lovely time staying in it. There are only two things I would note for future guests:
1. Fire lighters weren't supplied (wood and coal was) for the open fireplace which made it difficult to start the fire on our first night. If we had known we would have brought some with us....
2. The back door lock is very stiff and we found it difficult to unlock, maybe needs a new one.
Other than that, it was super cosy, had everything else you would need, plenty of hot water and was a nice place to stay! :-)

Hi Sophie, thank you for your comments, I'm delighted to hear you had such a brlliant time! I've made a note of your other comments to investigate further for you. You really can't beat a nice cosy evening in front of the fire after a day on the fells, can you?

A lovely comfortable cottage. Only issue is that it is quite dark inside due to the small windows & despite it's name of Mell Fell View there is no view of countryside from within the cottage, let alone of Mell Fell!
