This lovely holiday cottage, sleeping 4,has been recently tastefully renovated to a high standard to provide comfortable self catering accommodation with luxury contemporary furnishings and decor.
Melissa Cottage has the added advantage of an eco- wood pellet burning stove . The cottage is situated in the grounds of historical Irton Hall where both Oliver Cromwell and Henry VI have visited. The 1000 year old Oak tree, known as The King's Oak,is said to be where Henry spent the night after being refused shelter at the Hall by Irton, a Yorkist. The 12 acres of Irton Hall mature parkland can be enjoyed by holidaymakers at Melissa Cottage.
The location is at the foot of the Western Fells of The Lake District, being near to Eskdale, Wasdale and Miterdale. This is therefore a very special location to enjoy the mountains and lakes of the western Lake District and within striking distance of the coast and the lovely coastal village of Ravenglass.
