General Information
Meadowside Cottage sleeps up to four people across two double bedrooms. It has been refurbished to a high standard and is attached to Lakeside Country Guest House and situated next to Lakeside Lodge, which sleeps two people. The cottage is located in the quiet hamlet of Dubwath near Cockermouth, with Bassenthwaite Lake and the Sailing Club just 150m walk from the door.

Meadowside Cottage is located behind Lakeside Country Guest House, where entry is via an iron gate to a fully enclosed private patio (watch the steps with young children). The French doors open into a modern light and airy open plan living room, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen contains an electric oven, electric hob, dishwasher, microwave, well-stocked cupboards and plenty of storage space for groceries. A polished mahogany dining table and six upholstered chairs sit next to the French doors, which have a view onto the patio area and to the meadow beyond. The wine glass lamp above the dining table is a quirky, yet pleasing feature.

The living room area has been designed with a retro feel and includes two 1950s-style two-seater sofas and a lovely, two-seater brown leather sofa. An electric fire with colourful mood lighting adds interest to the room. A TV with Freeview and a selection of board games and books provide additional entertainment.

A downstairs WC also houses the washing machine and tumble drier. A large cupboard in the hall has space to hang those wet jackets and store muddy boots after a day on the fells or by the lake.

The first floor has a simple layout of one super king bedroom (can be made up as a twin) and one double bedroom, each with an ensuite bathroom. Each bedroom contains a double bed, chest-of-drawers, double wardrobe and a TV with Freeview and intergrated DVD player. The bathrooms each contain a walk-in shower, WC and basin. One of the bedrooms has a view overlooking the meadow towards Cockermouth and the other looks over another Victorian guest house towards Binsey, one of the Northern fells.

There is parking for one car at the side of the house and more private parking at the front of the guest house.
