Maiden Moor holiday cottage offers self catering accommodation for up to 4 persons. The cottage is in an incredible peaceful setting in the heart of the Borrowdale Valley with spectacular views of nearby fells including Catbells, Maiden Moor and High Spy.
The village of Grange in Borrowdale, a short distance away, boasts two tearooms and two churches. The Borrowdale Gates Hotel has a bar which is open to non-residents and there are plenty of pubs in the neighbouring villages. Borrowdale, one of the Lake District's prettiest valleys, is a wonderful starting point for hundreds of walks – either on the mountain tops or along the bottom of the valley.
The cottage is also only 10 minutes drive from the bustling market town of Keswick, with its unsurpassed range of outdoor shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés. By day, Keswick is the ideal starting point for walkers and climbers, as well as those who want to potter around the shops or take a ride on the launch on Derwent Water. By night there is a cinema, or the famous Theatre by the Lake, which puts on plays, shows and concerts all year round.
