Longrigg Green is a spacious and welcoming cottage for up to six people in the charming village of Eskdale Green. With a homely feel, bags of socialising space and a wonderful position at the foot of the secluded Miterdale Valley it makes an ideal cottage for a family or group of friends to enjoy this marvellous area.
Guests enter at the side door into the spacious hallway with an extra fridge and plenty of space to leave muddy boots and wellies. Of this there is also a large utility cupboard with a washing machine and plenty of storage and coat hanging space. A downstairs shower room is also off the hallway with electric shower, toilet and sink. The well equipped kitchen leads off the hallway. This has an eye-height fitted fan oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and electric, counter-top hobs. Of course there's also all the crockery and cookware you'll need for your stay.
Beyond the kitchen is the light airy open-plan living and dining area. It's a delightful space for socialising and spreading out with huge windows and comfy furnishings. The large dining table sits next to french doors which look out onto the decking and garden, an ideal spot for post-dinner conversations about your adventures. Moving further through, the living space has two deep sofas and an armchair arranged to make the most of evenings around the open fire. There's a large TV with Freeview and plenty of local books to give you inspiration. Through a further set of french doors there is the lovely conservatory, in which there is a sofa and another dining table ideal for meals watching the visiting birdlife or taking in the views of Muncaster Fell.
Heading through to the front hallway, there is a further cupboard with hanging space and a handy desk if you have brought work with you on your trip. Upstairs from here you will find the three comfortable bedrooms, all of which have two windows to make the most of the wonderful views surrounding the property. Firstly, the master bedroom has a king-size bed with ornate wooden bed frame, a wardrobe and views to the fells. The second king-size room has a built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers for storage as well as wonderful views right up the Miterdale valley as far as Scafell. The spacious double bedroom has a wardrobe and chest of drawers as well as a view to Muncaster Fell and part of the Miterdale Valley. The family bathroom is decorated with vibrantly coloured tiles and has an over-bath mixer shower, basin and WC. There is a further separate WC room next door too, very handy with a party of six.
Large gardens surround the house on three sides with mature shrubs and trees, raised decking, a patio with dining furniture, a small bubbling stream and lawns for cartwheeling about. The views form here are gorgeous so it's the perfect place for a sunny morning cuppa or an evening glass of wine.
Outside there is also gated parking space for 3 - 4 cars.
