An entrance hallway leads into Little Swinside Cottage. A new sliding door opens into the patio room, a charming sitting room with French windows, taking advantage of the magnificent view of the Lorton valley.
Stairs lead to the first floor and main living areas. The double bedroom has an oak beamed ceiling and built in wardrobes. The bathroom has a bath and shower over, washbasin and WC.
The cosy sitting room is furnished with arm chairs and a TV. A new woodburner has been fitted in the sitting room, perfect for cosy winter evenings. A door leads into the galley kitchen which has ample cupboard space for two people, an electric cooker and a ceramic hob, microwave and fridge.
Outside space is shared with the farmhouse and larger cottage. There is ample parking and open fell access to many great walks. The shared garden has picnic benches taking advantage of the wonderful view.
*Two traditional wooden hot tubs have been installed in the grounds offering stunning views of the Lorton valley. The hot tub is shared with the other cottages on site and must be booked in advance at time of booking to ensure all guests have an opportunity to use them. Please contact Diana, the owner, if you would like to reserve a hot tub upon booking (£10 a night for a minimum of 2 nights). Contact details for Diana are provided once you have paid a deposit for your stay.*
Free range chickens roam the shared gardens so please keep dogs on a lead whilst outside. Diana provides a special dogs run free area that has been fenced to 4ft and allows owners and their dogs to enjoy the peace and quiet of Lorton in a secure area.
