LIttle Braithwaite Farmhouse is a lovely comfortable farmhouse a good size for 8 people so you are not crowding each other. The beds were comfortable, as were the sofas, the kitchen was well equiped . we had a dripping kitchen tap when we were there which was fixed. Our main gripe was the dust on top of all the head boards, we tried to clean the thick of it off, the towel rails were dusty. the TV in the play room had no signal and the washer wasnt rinsing and spining unless you re programmed it. We didnt contact Sally about these issues as they had been mentioned before by previous renters.

Wonderful weather and glorious surroundings for our holiday in The Lakes. Quaint little village with good pubs. We were a little disappointed with the farmhouse due to the overpowering smell of dogs in two of the rooms; the master bedroom and ensuite and additional living room. The television in the additional living room did not work either. Carpets and rugs could do with a good clean. Thick dust on our bed headboard, skirting boards and towel rails etc. The bathroom towels were the size of postage stamps too! We replaced around 7 curtain hooks so that the curtains actually drew together but due to the light, cheap quality of curtain, the light streamed through and woke us early. Sally's Cottages responded quickly to my email and offered an additional clean but unfortunately we still feel the farmhouse needs some TLC to be worth the price tag in peak season. No attractive planters or flower pots, no BBQ and over grown shrubs block any chance of a view at the front too. It's a shame as it could be a really beautiful holiday house.
