What a beautiful farmhouse this is. Well equipt with appliances in the kitchen including an extra fridge in the utility room which was a god send. Spaceous kitchen diner which was superb for the family weekend we wanted, enabling some of us to be busy in the kitchen but still being able to socialise with the rest of our group in the dining room. Bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was great between the 4 couples that were staying. From a feedback point of view it would be great if there were more utensils in the kitchen, simple things like kitchen scissors and corigated spoons would be a great addition to the lovely kitchen, I struggled to get our poached eggs out of the pan with the ladle and fish slice ):
Generally the property was clean, however I am very fussy when it comes to the cleanliness of bathrooms and I believe there is room for improvement in this area. When we arrived i checked the property over before the rest of our guests arrived, the ensuite next door to the family bathroom still had water in the wash hand baisin and a bleach substance and debris which the cleaner must have forgotten to empty, the toilet had black water marks around the bowl which all toilets can get if not regularly cleaned with a brush and under the seat had urine splashes. This was easily cleaned but not something I liked having to do when it was not ours to clean. The bottom tiles around the shower tray have an orange build up on them, again someting that will be easily cleaned off when deep cleaning a bathroom as i would expect it to be done upon change over.
I am only metnioning this as i feel it's an area that could cause negative reviews which would be such a shame. It would not stop me from booking to stay here again but it would be great to see that this feedback has been actioned in the positive way it is intended. There were some similar issues with the ensuite in the other king room too.
Overall a fantastic property in a suberb location and definately somewhere I will recommend to friends and family. Thank you for our stay.

It’s our 3rd visit here. It’s looking a little tired. Could do with a re paint and a deep clean.

Our second time visiting this lovely farmhouse perfectly situated in the Lakes. More than adequate for a family of 6 with children aged from 5 to 13. Perfect walks, waterfalls and activities. The weather wasn’t as kind to us this year, but with the effective heating, washing and drying available at the cottage it didn’t slow us down at all! Perfect start to Christmas.
