- The cottage was lovely and in a great location. The beds were comfortable as were the sofas.
The only thing that let it down was the cleanliness. Due to the current pandemic I would expect a very high level of cleanliness for the safety of guests. However the cottage had not been thoroughly cleaned. There were dead flies on the carpet in bedrooms and various surfaces were dusty. This is not what I wanted to see when travelling with two young children during a pandemic. Such a shame.

Hi Claire, many thanks for your review, I am very sorry to hear that the cleaning was not up to scratch and the owner is very surprised by your comments. This is the first time this has happened and you can be assured that this will be taken up with the (temporary) cleaner. Yours was the first booking since lockdown, and there was a problem getting hold of cleaners, which thankfully has now been resolved with a regular housekeeper now looking after Little Barras. Regarding the cleanliness in a time of pandemic you can be assured that the owners take this very seriously. They have a policy of a 72 hour gap between all bookings at Little Barras, so that the risk of any virus surviving is minimised and all surfaces should be cleaned thoroughly between bookings with anti-viral products. Thanks again for bringing this to my attention. I hope you had a wonderful time, despite these concerns, especially in such a lovely cottage and wonderful location!
