A warm welcome awaits you at Lakenhow; a spacious and luxurious house with a feel of wonderful conviviality. It’s an upside down house, the sumptuous lounge taking advantage of the most amazing views of this most tranquil and picturesque corner of the Lake District.
Throw open wide the double doors to the newly refurbished kitchen with dining area - ideal for friends and family to socialise together while simultaneously preparing a meal if you so wish. Alternatively you can just relax in the conservatory with a glass of wine, curled up with a good book.
The house is located in the tiny village of Gawthwaite, in one of the quieter areas of Cumbria just within the Lake District National Park. It has excellent transport routes from the M6 motorway and is only ten minutes from the vibrant market town of Ulverston. In the opposite direction is Coniston Water, again only ten minutes’ drive away, and there are plenty of options right from the door from well worn popular cycling and walking routes, to quieter, less well trodden paths.
