Ideal for getting away from everything but a good location for exploring all round Ullswater, and further into the Lakes, ideal for walking, climbing etc.
Very definitely a two person cottage, it is quite compact, but although I was there on my own, two would manage fine.
Phone signals can be poor (EE is a non-starter), but I did find that Tesco (BT) was fine..if you really wanted to stay in contact.
All in all, I loved the place and will stay there again next time I am in the area on my own

Nice building and area but roads for access are far too narrow and a nightmare in the bad weather which believe me we got . Heating was on timer and wasn’t on long enough luckily had two heaters which we could use. The bathroom roof makes it impossible to stand and pee ☹️Couldn’t use shower either. The building is lovely though and could be updated to solve 90% of our complaints oh and NO WIFI or phone signal so be WARNED.

Hi Rhys, I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review of Kirksty Brow. Ullswater is my favourite lake! I'll look into all the points you raised, thanks for letting me know. You'll have to come back in the Summer when the weather should be kinder to you.
