We loved this cozy, quirky little cottage. It has steeply slanted ceilings which might be a problem for tall people but not for the averagely sized. It is situated in a tiny hamlet up a steep narrow road but is only 20 mins from Penrith and very close to Ulswater and Aira force. It has no WiFi and no phone signal... unless you are with Vodaphone, then the signal is near to full strength! Not usually the case Vodaphone comes up trumps! As it has no WiFi, I think it is cheaper than usual, so if you don’t care then this is excellent value for money and we would definitely consider it again.

Very beautiful and pleasant cottage to stay in, but could do with a little updating! Will definitely re book Kirksty Brow

Kirksty Brow is in a great location and was very clean But bedroom too big and living room far too small - sloping celings, continually banging head. Nowhere to leave wet and muddy boots/coats. No kitchen scissors, no colander and no decent size saucepan.

Hi Julia, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you enjoyed your break, the location is stunning isn't it? Just perfect if you enjoy getting out for some good walks. Whilst there's nothing he could do about the size of the rooms or ceiling slopes, the owner will be happy to look at providing a colander, scissors and more saucepans when he next visits the property. I really appreciate your feedback and suggestions for improvement, so thank you. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.
