We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kirkbank. It was an “end-of-term” treat for the family after the stresses and strains of lockdown! First night here we were out in the garden with the fire pit- and made the most of the lovely coffee machine and the excellently equipped kitchen- though Neff won’t be getting any hob sales any time soon!
The TV in the bathroom was also hugely popular.....amazingly clean children...
We loved the area- explored from Barrow to Seascale, from Wasdale to Hardknott and settled down happily at home on one morning when it was raining buckets...Well, it is the Lake District!
FAvourite new place? The Sawmill Café just by the bridge at Nether Wasdale- Mawson’s fabulous ice-cream and lots of goodies and gifts!

Great cottage with everything we needed plus more. All elements of the cottage are of a very high standard and it’s very well maintained.
Great location for our quiet family trip to the mountains.

Hello Peter, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It's a gem of a cottage, isn't it? You couldn't have picked a better location for exploring the beautiful Lakes. I hope you can come back to make more memories in the Lakes very soon.

Beautiful cottage which did not disappoint. It was perfect for our family get together. Very spacious with everything you need and more. Beautiful views and easy walk to local pub. Some of the roads are interesting as it’s quite remote but that’s part of the pleasure of where Kirkbank is located.
We would love to return again in future and it’s definitely on our list!
