Newlands is a charming first floor apartment for four people within Kiln How, a beautiful traditional building nestled in Borrowdale. Right in the heart of tranquil Rosthwaite this makes a wonderful base for a family or friends to make the most of this much-loved area.
On arrival at the main door guests access the shared lower hall. The owners have thoughtfully left plenty of local information here if you need inspiration for your travels. At the top of the main staircase is the landing with access to three of the apartments. Newlands is number 3.
Just inside the door is the main corridor off which all the accommodation is arranged. There are hooks for coats and plenty of space for shoes and boots. Firstly to the lovely open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. The living space is delightful with a stylish two seater sofa and two comfy armchairs arranged around the wall mounted TV with Freesat and a wall mounted electric bar heater. There is a space saving foldaway dining table and four chairs. The kitchen area is equipped with a built-in fan oven, electric hobs, a microwave, fridge (with a freezer compartment) and all the crockery and cookware you will need for your stay. The view from the kitchen's lovely sash window is out to the fells on the east side of the valley.
Onwards to the bedrooms. Both the double master bedroom and the lovely light twin room have chests of drawers for storage and vanity units with sinks. There is also plenty of hanging space for storage in the hall cupboard. The bathroom has an over-bath electric shower.
Outside there is a shared parking area and a lovely shared garden with mature trees and dining space to eat al-fresco. Perfect for a sunny morning cuppa or an evening glass of wine.
