- Its comfortable and a good location but quite small with low ceilings in the rooms. The photo is deceptive, it's not that big. Kitchen is well equipped, but there is no washing machine or anywhere to dry cloths, which is a problem in Lake District in Winter. It has a electricity coin meter which is a first for me in rented holiday apartment. The heating is all electric and the insulation is not good, so I think we put up to £25 in the meter 1st week of March. The hot water is way too hot, a child would get very badly scalded if they put their hand under hot tap and maintaining that temperature is expensive, as I think on a immersion heater. I would recommend it in the summer but not the winter.
