We enjoyed our stay. One cosy living space which was comfortable to heat with the electric fire and the new heaters on the wall. I missed some blinds in front of the bathroom window. A new bath would complete the refurbishment of the bathroom and extra power to the shower would be an added bonus. With the bed not being to big, it would be more convenient if it didn't have a footend. Overall we liked the appartment and wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

Hello Anne, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It's a super cosy cottage isn't it? I have noted all your feedback and will look into this further. I'm thrilled you had a really great stay and I hope you will plan a return visit to the Lakes very soon.

We had a great week in Borrowdale, especially as the weather was so good. We did 3 walks, met friends for a day, and saw my brother and family twice. I was born and grew up in Cumbria.
Our accommodation was fine for the two of us, and is a lovely old building in an interesting village.

Hi Ann, Borrowdale is fablous, isn't it? And a family reunion too - just perfect! I hope you explored lots of your old haunts! Come back and see us again soon!

Great location,but...

We chose Kiln How because Rosthwaite and Borrowdale are hard to beat for walking 'from the door'. However Catbells was a little disappointing in some important ways. It wasn't particularly clean, with greasy kitchen utensils and a corroded bath that's long past its sell by date [and contained some evidence of previous occupants...]. It's a shame, because some better decor, equipment and attention to detail could make it much nicer.

Hi Nick and Sarah, it's a great location, isn't it? Thank you for your comments, I will certainly investigate them further for you. I'm so glad you got plenty of walking done. The owners do have a continuous plan of refurbishment and the bath is next on their list. Here's to more fell top adventures!
