- We had a lovely week in Castle Crag. The cottage was warm and cosy with lovely views and it was a lovely touch having a log fire laid for the first night. Another thing that worked really well was that the internet was good enough that our daughter could stay for part of the week and work from the cottage in these strange COVID times.
Our only reservations were firstly that there was no way to make a proper cup of coffee - it hadn't even crossed my mind to bring a coffee pot as well as coffee as holiday rentals normally supply a cafetiere or coffee filter machine. Maybe the rest of the world are not such coffee lovers!
Also, we are a very tall family and it was a real shame that the double bed was so small and soft and unsuitable for a taller couple (6'5" husband). Luckily as one of our daughters had been unable to come we swapped rooms with us using the twin beds and our daughter in the double but it would stop us visiting again as a whole family (and it would be the only thing that did as it was a fab location and everything else was great). Anyway - thanks for a great week.

Hi Philippa, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so pleased you had a lovely week, it's the perfect place to get away from it all isn't it? The location is stunning, I hope you enjoyed exploring.
It's a shame that the beds didn't work out for you, I hope it didn't cause too much inconvenience. If you'd like any help choosing a cottage for your next holiday in the Lakes just get in touch and I'll be happy to offer some suggestions.
