Lovely cottage, kitchen full of equipment. The owner was very helpful and edmond was a delight. Our grandson loved the wildlife, he loved feeding the birds each day and the voles. The cottage was big and spacious. Needs a lick of paint here and there. The one draw back is the lack of a corner type shop.

Perfect location for anyone wanting coast and lakes. The cottage is very spacious, private and quiet and the owner is literally next door and at hand if needed.
The things that could do with improving are the fridge freezer; It’s small compared to how many people the cottage caters for. The lounges are a little outdated and not that comfortable although very clean. The garden at the back is very private but in need of some tlc. The photos on the site accurately show the upstairs which is excellent, but need updating for the lounge area. Master bedroom is huge.
Overall we were pleased with the accommodation, it just needs a bit of adjusting in terms of the lounges, fridge, back garden and trays for the oven if you aren’t going to be out and about most of the day.
Would definitely recommend the Bridge Inn for evening meals, which is less than 10 min drive from the cottage.
We went from West lakes to Windermere, Ambleside, Keswick, all within an hours drive.
