Lovely spacious lodge on quiet site. Near to Penrith for supermarkets and Pooley Bridge and North Lakes for walking and visitor attractions.

Hi Rachel, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your break. The location is perfect for heading out exploring isn't it? I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Hyggeby offers comfort, peace and privacy in a green environment. It is a good starting point to explore the Lake District by car. The centre of Penrith can be reached in 15 minutes by car for super markets, bus, railway, petrol stations and tourist information office (they sell great pocket books with easy to intermediate walks in the Lake District). Nearby Hyggeby a visit to Lowther Castle is worth the effort (5 miles drive). The information we found in Hyggeby about supermarkets and car parking facilities (location, long, short, free) in Penrith needs an update.

This is the second time I have stayed at Hyggeby Lodge. It is simply furnished but has everything we need, and is a great spot. Quiet and surrounded by mature shrubs so you are not overlooked. Really handy for exploring the lakes with A66 just a mile or so away. I have already booked for the same week next year.

Hi Michael, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you enjoyed your second stay as much as the first. It's a lovely place to get away from it all isn't it? And perfectly positioned for getting out exploring. Roll on next year!
