My boys had a ball using the fire pit at night and the tree swing .was a great base for us we travelled to wenidmere and kesweick also just 5 mims along the road was kirbay Stephen lovely wee town with a couple of pubs and a few wee shops. Would recommend the cottage we has we had a lovely roof terrace to sit out on .Will be booking again .朗

Howgill has wonderful views from the lounge, both bedrooms and private raised patio. Use of the Owner's colourful garden. Cattle and sheep graze in the adjacent fields and after a day's walking, we enjoyed watching a variety of birds and the antics of a red squirrel on the feeders. Easy access to the Howgills, Eden Valley, Lake District with castles to visit when it was raining. Cottage was clean and comfortable. Our only minus point was that we were able to hear talking and the television from one of the other two self-catering accommodations at this property whilst in our lounge and bedroom.

Hi Malcolm, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? I'm glad you were able to see some of the local wildlife up close. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

An ideal place for relaxing and taking in the wonderful views and wildlife or as a lovely base to come back to after a day touring. The cottage is comfortable with views from every window and a large outside terrace. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The owners are friendly and helpful. Full amenities are available a short drive away with a good choice of shops and eateries. Would definitely recommend. We hope to return.
