Delightful quaint cottage away from the hustle and bustle. Clean, well equipped and comfortable. Warm and welcoming, with basket of goods for arrival! Parking off road for one large car, a little tight initially, but good at getting you to improve your car manoeuvring skills! Would return if visiting this area of Lake District again!

Hi Lynne, I'm glad you had a great time. It's the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle for a while isn't it? I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

We had a smashing 4 day break in this cosy and comfortable cottage. Well equipped kitchen and bedrooms comfortable with nice bedding. Unfortunately both pubs were closed during our stay. Friendly people at the post office and tearooms. Perfect for walking the fells near Haweswater. Visit to the Haweswater Hotel for coffee gave us chance to check out a future stay there - interesting hotel with amazing views. Lowther Castle with fabulous walks is nearby as is Askham Hall with a lovely cafe and the Punch Bowl on the green is a cosy Lakeland pub with good food.
