Hi Alan, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Very warm and cosy. Nice little shop right by the house surrounded by lovely walks near by. Haweswater is definatley worth a visit, there is a path that follows the reservoir with lots of fantastic views of the lake and hills. However the parking was too small for 2 cars but we parked the 2nd car at the village hall. The kitchen was very well equipped and the house was very warm to dry all our wet clothes.

Nice clean little cottage; well equipped. Care and attention given to clean bedding/towels etc. Nice welcome pack. As with many old properties, small windows (and therefore little light) and a bit chilly inside but central heating available. WiFi and internet which was good, especially as we couldn’t get any mobile signal (O2) at all in the village.
Small back yard, rather overgrown, but with a sitting area. Very tight parking but just about possible to get two cars off the road.
Friendly local post office/coffee shop nearby. Local pub (5 mins walk) only open on one evening due to Covid but looked nice. Bit of a drive to get to Ullswater.
Enjoyable first trip up to The Lakes for our family.
