General Description

A wonderful cottage for 6/7 people and 1 lucky dog, Hillside Cottage enjoys an enviable position in the charming hamlet of Eskdale Green in the stunning Eskdale Valley.

At the back of the cottage is the fantastic kitchen. Well equipped with a double electric oven and separate hob, fridge-freezer, handy microwave and coffee machine, cooks are sure to love whipping up a feast in here. There's also a dishwasher, so there'll be no need to fight over who has to do the washing up! The living-dining room is a great social space, with the large wooden dining table at one end and the comfortable seating at the other. Gather round the table and compare notes on the day's events over a hearty home cooked meal; the sofas are arranged around the wood burning stove and there's a TV for entertainment, perfect for cosy evenings in front of the fire.

Head up the stairs from the entrance hallway to the first floor where you'll find 2 of the 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom is light, bright and airy with stunning views over the surrounding countryside and fells beyond. The inviting double bed is perfect for indulging in a long lie in and the whicker chair by the window is a lovely spot for catching up with a good book. This room also has plenty of storage thanks to the matching wardrobe and chest of drawers. The cosy twin room has matching wooden single beds and a wonderful view of the valley.

Also on the first floor is the fantastic family bathroom. Bright and spacious with wonderful feature floor tiles, the bathroom has a WC, washbasin, large walk-in shower and separate bath, perfect whether you prefer a relaxing soak in the tub or a refreshing shower after a day out on the fells.

Onwards and upwards to the second floor and the third and final bedroom. In the eaves, with feature original wooden beams and a pretty metal-framed double bed, this is another lovely bedroom. This room also has a useful hanging rail, drawers and a desk should you need to do some work during your stay. There's also an additional pull out single bed up here that can also be made up upon request to accommodate a 7th person.

Outside you'll find a delightful patio garden. The bistro-style table and chairs on the shillied patio to the side of the cottage is a lovely spot for al fresco dining or take a seat on the ratten chairs to the front of the cottage, perfect for a peaceful morning coffee whilst taking in those stunning views.

The cottage's outhouse has been converted into a useful boot room and utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer; the outhouse also contains an extra WC and shower. Hillside Cottage also has a private parking space for 1 car.
