Fantastic location for the hills and for cycling at Whinlatter - also minutes walk from 2 pubs and the village shop. Could do with looking at the double bed which is not the most comfortable and there was not an abundance of kitchen items. However on balance - a great place and we would come back.

Hi Jon, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your break. The location is perfect for heading out exploring isn't it? It's always a bonus having a couple of pubs within walking distance too!
Thanks for letting me know about the bed, I'll make sure we take a look at that.
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

This was a lovely cottage and was like home from home - everything you needed was there and Michelle the owner thought of everything. We loved the views from the lounge and after a long walk was nice to chill on the super comfy sofa. Braithwaite had several good pubs and the steak pie in the Royal Oak was amazing - went there several times. There is a bus service in Braithwaite that goes to Keswick & Perth and was nice to not have to drive a couple days. Due to the circumstances of Covid we normally don't do a 2 week holiday in the UK but cause Braithwaite is so central there was so much to do and we loved it - thank you Michelle for sharing your home and allowing us to recharge our batteries.

Hi Jo, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you had a great holiday, it's the perfect place for a relaxing break isn't it? And the location is ideal for enjoying some local walks or heading out exploring further afield. I'm glad you enjoyed some good meals out too, it's always a treat to let someone else do the cooking for a change. The Royal Oak does a great Sunday roast too!
I hope you can plan a return visit some time, you can be sure of a warm welcome.

The cottage was absolutely lovely, very stylishly decorated and homely with stunning views. It was immaculate and clean which in these difficult times very important. The owner has not missed a trick as anything you needed was there from maps and walking equipment to treats for your dog. The cottage is located in a great area where you could go for walks straight from your front door and also there were pubs where you could have a nice meal. We will definitely book again and would recommend to anyone. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to use their lovely cottage.
