Bromborough, Wirral Family
- Took a short break at Helm Eden with my wife and children aged 4 and 7 and all fell immediately in love. The cottage itself is nicely decorated and furnished, scrupulously clean and in the most beautiful location, set away from Bowness centre, but the town is still easily accessible for shops and attractions. You could walk it quite easily if you're fit, but with two youngsters and quite a steep climb down Helm Road we preferred to take the car down.
The cottage opened out onto the shared lawn area, very popular with the kids, and we even had good enough weather to sit out and eat. The kids also loved being able to run around in the small orchard and the adjoining fields - we even got them to climb to the top of Brant Fell viewpoint for a view of almost the entire length of Windermere, well worth the climb.
Will definitely visit again.

Hi Ian, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay. It's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? And the location is ideal. Nice and peaceful but so handy for Bowness and all it has to offer. I'm glad the kids had a great time. I hope you can bring them back for some more adventures soon.
