This was one of our best houses yet. So much room for all the family. House fully equipped to take 18 people. Rooms and beds comfortable. Always hot water and house was warm. Good garden for the dogs. Town a short walk with a pub on the way. The only one personal thing I would of liked was a few more Christmas decorations and maybe some fairy lights. Great holiday and already looking for next year x

Hello Clare, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It's a fabulous cottage for a big get together, isn't it? You couldn't have picked a better location for exploring the Lakes - the local pub close by is an added bonus! Thank you also for your feedback - I will look into the points you have raised further. I'm thrilled you had a really great stay and I hope you made lots of lovely memories. I very much hope to see you again in 2020!

A great house for group gatherings. Everyone has there own space and bathrooms. Big reception rooms, kitchen and dinning area. A lovely property which is starting to show its wear however.

I would recommend Hazelwood as the down stairs is excellent for large family get togethers with plenty of space to spread out and there aren't many house around of this size. The dining room table is fab. The house its self, though, is looking tired and a few of the showers in the en-suites didn't work, aga , perhaps, needs a service. We had a problem with the heating and the house was extremely cold when we arrived. Sally's Cottages were fantastic and sent someone out within an hour and he got it going but the some of the radiators didn't work at all and others only ever got warm. After a couple of days though the house did start to warm through as the heating was on permanently. Overall a place that is able to accommodate large numbers for celebrations and get togethers which there aren't many of in The Lake District.

Hi Tamsin, many thanks for your comments - I'm delighted we were able to help you heat the house up. I've made a note of your other comments so I can investigate further. So delighted that you had such a wonderful get-together - it sounds amazing!
