We had a great time at Haystacks, everything you could wish for and more. The welcome basket on arrival was much appreciated. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the beds were large and very comfortable too. The children enjoyed it and loved that there was Netflix on the TV and games to play also. It was great that the pub was right next to the cottage especially when you're dodging the rain showers!! The staff were very friendly and the food was very nice too.
We would definitely recommend Haystacks to family and friends and we will be visiting again.

Hello Mrs C, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It's a gem of a cottage, isn't it? Family time is the best and I'm thrilled you all had a fabulous time! It's always a bonus having a pub close by on holiday which serves delicious pub grub - even better when someone else does the washing up! Come back any time, you can be sure of a very warm welcome.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage. It was comfy, cosy, and in the perfect location for what we wanted to do. The owner checked on us as a storm and made sure that we had everything we needed. We will definitely be staying again.

We had a lovely pre-Christmas break at this fabulous cottage in Braithwaite. The cottage is in the centre of the village handily placed for the pubs, with one being less than 100m away, and the Village Store as well as being at the foot of the Whinlatter Pass.
The cottage is very well equipped and quite spacious. I can imagine that it's great in the Summer too with it's wrap-around garden. The cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas which added to the ambiance, especially when the log burner was lit.
The only downside was the quite tight parking when the neighbours were in residence but that was really only a minor irritant.
All in all, a great cottage in one of our favourite Lakeland villages and is highly recommended
