Lovely location. Good base for exploring North Lakes. Very friendly and amenable hosts. Comfortable, quiet and spacious enough.

Nice cottage in a good location. Road was a little bit noisy with farm traffic. Was a lovely clean cottage, the small balcony had beautiful views. Would have been good to have more fridge space rather than an additional freezer.

Hi Emma, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? I think the noise from the road may have been due to the haymaking. This happens a couple of times a year, lasting for a few hours over a couple of days. The local farmers all get together and help out collecting the grass from each others' farms so it can be done quickly during a weather window - it's quite the event! During that time the tractors will go back and forth to collect and empty the grass. The other 361 days a year are the picture of peace and tranquility! The fridge is standard-size and this usually proves absolutely fine but thank you for your feedback. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

We just returned from a great week in the Hayloft in Lamonby a perfect place to relax and unwind whilst in the Lake District. With the weather we had it was lovely to have the balcony to sit out on an evening.

From the doorstep you can do some nice walks around the local woods and the house is ideally placed to quickly get around to some of the major spots of the lakes such as Keswick, Penrith, Ullswater and Derwentwater.

A few minutes drive away is Hutton in the Forest a Grade listed house with stunning gardens and a forest walk, Acorn Bank is also well worth a visit and is also close by.

Nearby Newton Reigny also has the lovely Sun Inn where you can order some great pub grub and Lakeland ales.

All in all we had a great week at the Hayloft and will be back soon.
