Greenbank Country House is a large characterful Victorian House, sleeping up to 19 people in lovely ensuite bedrooms. The house is idyllically situated in an elevated location within it's own grounds in the heart of the Borrowdale Valley but only 4 miles from the market town of Keswick.
From the grounds there are magnificent views of the Borrowdale Valley and of Derwent Water and there are lots of walks from the doorstep both in the valley and onto the higher fells. Other activities might include climbing nearby on the Borrowdale Crags and sailing or kayaking on Derwentwater.
There are several hotels in the valley with bars and restaurants, the nearest being Borrowdale Hotel, which is just a walk down the driveway from Greenbank.
The wonderful gardens of Greenbank Country House are a lovely place to sit out for morning coffee or glass of wine on a summer's evening and to admire the splendid views.
The house will accept up to six children (those aged under 12) with a booking, please enquire for further information.
Maiden Moor Cottage, sleeping 4, is a self catering cottage situated nearby, which is available for letting along with or separate from Greenbank.
