I can not recommend this cottage enough, owners are lovely, showed us around and explained how to use everything. You can see a lot of thought and love has gone into the Barn conversation. Beds are extremely comfortable, so was sofa, lovely outside area for a nice glass of wine. Cottage had everything you needed and more. Owners down a yummy welcome pack with homemade biscuits. It’s a bit out of the way from everything but that was fine for us, 40 minute drive to Keswick and 45 minute walk to Whitehaven. We walked to Whitehaven got train to St Bees and walked back to Whitehaven along the coast cliff tops, I would highly recommend that walk if you fancy a day off driving. Absolutely no
Negatives about this place, we had a wonderful time

Hi Christine, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so pleased you had a wonderful break. It's the perfect place to get away from it all isn't it?
I'm glad you enjoyed the St. Bees coastal walk, I love it there! Did you have a look at Fleswick Bay? If not you've got the perfect excuse to come back! Until next time!

We had a fantastic time at Goosegreen Barn, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel really welcome by Mike and Vicki. The homemade ginger biscuits went down very well! The barn is a beautiful place to stay with everything you could need, and a log burning fire which we really enjoyed using. On arrival the place was spotless. In terms of location we found it to be perfect, as we wanted to explore the Western side of the Lake District, which was all within 35 minutes drive. The location also means you have a sea view and we spent the first evening watching the sunset over the sea from one of the benches in the grounds. I would definitely recommend staying here to friends and family

We loved this place family of 4 and our dog. Fenced in fields to let the dog run, amazing views also. Owner are lovely really friendly and added extras on arrival butter milk jams and bread made us feel so welcome. The log fire is very cosy and beds really lovely to sleep in. You are about a mile from Whitehaven with all the amenity you will need. Only thing I could say was the sofa is uncomfortable. Everything else was amazing .

Hi Jennifer, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay, it's the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle for a while isn't it? Thanks so much for your honest feedback about the sofa. I have discussed this with the owners and they've confirmed it's still relatively new but rest assured, they'll keep a very close eye on this. I hope you enjoyed some great walks with the dog. Until next time!
