Had a fabulous time. Views were out of this world. A couple of pubs 1.1 miles and another .7 of a mile. Both with outside seating & allow dogs.
Everything in the cottage you could need apart from a personal preference of plastic glasses for outside, especially since dogs are welcome....

Hi David, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it?
I've noted your request for some plastic glasses, thank you.
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

We couldn’t fault our stay at Glendale. It was the perfect fit for 2 adults, 1 infant and our springer spaniel. The cottage was fully equipped, it had the requested cot bed and bonus high chair and stair gate all in place on arrival. The owners were super friendly with ‘local’ suggestions to make the holiday even better. It’s the perfect location for many day trips and with Keswick and Penrith a short drive away for your self catering needs. The views are also incredible to wake up to and enjoy if you can enjoy the picnic tables or BBQ area provided. Could not fault any aspect.

Excellent cottage - based at the foot of Blencathra (worth a climb) and ideal for Keswick and Borrowdale/Derwentwater/Thirlmere/Ullswater etc.

Lots of great walking nearby and pubs within walking distance in Scales and Threlkeld.
