Really lovely cottage - we loved having the two fires, and very comfy beds and sofas. Great location for walks. We didn't need the car.

Hello Gill, Thank you for your review. It's a super cosy cottage, isn't it? You couldn't have picked a better location for exploring the Lakes and getting out and about on some great walks. The two wood burning stoves sound an absolute delight - perfect for kicking back and relaxing! I'm thrilled you had a really great stay and I hope you will plan a return visit very soon.

Forresters cottage is lovely. It is very well equipped (the only thing we couldn't find was a pizza cutter!), and the location, for us was wonderful. The garden was very handy, as we had our dog with us, and he also seemed to love the cottage...especially the log burner!
We ate out a few times at the Coledale inn ( the pub nearest the cottage won't allow dogs in when food is being served). This was a really nice pub, and the food was 'okay'. Very friendly and welcoming though, which counts for a lot!
There are lots of lovely walks within easy reach of the cottage, and the cottage is easy to find, only a couple of minutes from the A66.
The bed was a little too soft for our liking, with a bit of a 'roll together' going on. However the bed linen was lovely - good quality cotton, which was lovely and cool at night.
Sadly we had to leave earlier than planned, but would have loved to have spent the full week there.

Hi Ros, I'm delighted to hear that you had such a wonderful stay, and so sorry you had to dash away early. You really can't beat a cosy evening around the log burner, can you? Come back and see us again soon!
