We had a lovely family Christmas at Fisherground Farmhouse. It was a great house for our party of 11 adults, 5 children, 1 baby and 2 dogs. It was nice to have a large table we could all sit round. The kitchen was well equipped. A problem arose with the cooker but it was sorted immediately. There was a lovely Christmas tree and a Christmas cake and a bottle of champagne was on the Kitchen table. A new carving knife and fork had also been provided. Unfortunately it wasn't the right time of year to benefit from the conservatory, though it did serve as a cold room for all the food we had, and the good sized garden. I spoke to the owners on a couple of occasions and they were very friendly and helpful. One small thing that would have been useful and that would be a hand towel in each bathroom but otherwise we were very satisfied with the accommodation and would happily recommend it. Val

Hello Valerie, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. How wonderful to spend Christmas in the Lakes - there really is no better place to be. It's a fantastic cottage for a big get together, isn't it? How thoughtful of the wonderful owners' to leave Christmas cake and champagne - the perfect start to toast the festivities! Thank you also for your feedback, I will look into this further. I'm thrilled you had a lovely family Christmas and I hope you made lots of wonderful memories. Here's to the next break in the beautiful Lakes!

Lovely big house and great scenic location. Electric radiators meant some rooms started off cool, but warmed up by end of stay, in mitigation the weather was very cold.

What a welcoming, comfortable, generous house to holiday in, in the most picturesque surroundings. If you want to get away from it all, this is the perfect place to do so. The downside is lack of local amenities like a shop. Also with a houseful if guests, showers are a bit tricky but the sheer space available and stunning fireplace in the living room with plenty of room to cater for a large number if guests makes it a wonderful stay.
