- The description with regards to accessing the lower ground floor area from the main entrance hall is very misleading.
“The steps leading down from the hallway to the lower ground floor are steep and not suitable for guests with limited mobility. There is access into this room via the external French Doors round the back of the house”.
In fact, the steps leading down are via a "trap door" in the hallway. The steps down are extremely steep with a very narrow entrance, smaller than a normal loft hatch. Not suitable for young children or anybody that has any form of mobility issues, are tall, etc. The trap door entrance from the hallway is well protected with banisters and gate around it. Not an ideal situation, however, the lower ground floor can be reached easily from outside via the french doors.
Overall the property is in very good condition, lovely surrounds and fairly close to Keswick. Just across the road as a lovely Art Gallery, which also sold some very good cakes! Some very lovely walks directly from the property. Room sizes were very good. Good kitchen.

Hello Simon, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with the layout of the cottage and I will look into your feedback. I hope you had a lovely time in the Lakes, it's a beautiful part of the world, isn't it?
