A delightful cottage that's sure to charm, Field View is a lovely home from home for 3/4 people and 1 dog. Inside you'll find a well equipped kitchen and lovely living-dining room on the ground floor; upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, a king size and a single with an additional pull out bed to accommodate an extra child, and the family bathroom. Outside the cottage is a generous shared parking area and a wonderful rear garden with fantastic views over the surrounding countryside towards the fells and Bassenthwaite Lake beyond.

There are a wealth of walking opportunities on offer nearby; from high fells to lower level walks, there's something for everyone here. Head to Dodd Wood just over the road from the cottage, after a short but steep climb you'll be rewarded by stunning panoramic views from the summit. Serious hikers can tackle Skiddaw, England's fourth highest mountain, or why not enjoy a more sedate pace with a walk along the shore of Bassenthwaite Lake? The historic stately home of Mirehouse is just down the road from the cottage and has beautiful gardens to explore, as well as an adventure playground for younger children. The nearby Lake District Wildlife Park is another fun day out for families too.

The bustling market town of Keswick is less than a 10 minute drive away and has plenty to offer. Indulge in some retail therapy, there is a great selection of outdoor and independent shops, or enjoy an evening out at the family run cinema or take in a play at the renowned Theatre by the Lake. Adrenaline junkies can sign up for an activity with one of the local adventure companies or why not walk an alpaca at nearby Whinlatter Forest for something a little bit different?! Head west from the cottage to the picturesque Solway Coast. Enjoy fish and chips and an ice cream at the nearby seaside villages of Allonby or Silloth, followed by a bracing walk along the shore.

Field View can be booked alongside the neighbouring cottages of Dodd View and Forest View.
