Central heating and hot water supplies poor - log burner does not heat water and at least one storage heater was not functioning. Very basic cooker - really needs a double oven these days. Could also benefit from a bigger freezer.

Lovely cottage to stay, exactly what I expected and great value for money. Superb location and close to Keswick for amenities etc. Would happily stay again!

I was slightly disappointed to find the piano lid locked when it's clearly open in the photos. I'd specifically booked this cottage BECAUSE of the piano as I wanted to play it on my birthday as my own special treat (we went away on this week to celebrate New Year and my birthday). The porch (back entrance when coming into the cottage in your walking gear) unfortunately doesn't have a light switch, and the light to the dining room is all the way on the opposite side of the room. This is not very well thought out. This entrance could do with a sitting bench and boot store rather than a plastic chair. The electric heaters placed in strategic places around the cottage were much needed as it was rather cold on our trip. We couldn't find the glass recycling bin as the instructions on where they were located was too ambiguous. Aside from these, we enjoyed our time in the cottage and the best thing was the proximity to Blencathra.

Hi Cherise, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at Fell View and its proximity to the beautiful Blencathra. This area really is a walkers paradise.
I'm so sorry to hear that the piano was locked when you arrived, if you had let me know at the time I would have contacted the owners for you. I'll send your feedback on to the owners along with your other feedback and suggestions for improvement, thank you. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.
