The cottage could do with a bit of tlc we were very pleased with it but the heating needs sorting out. Storage heaters didn’t work and we had convector heaters and an electric fire. It was warm but had to keep remembering to turn fires and immersion heater off. Beautiful setting and a lovely break

Hi Julie, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. The location is stunning isn't it? Ideal if you enjoy getting out for some good walks.
I really appreciate your feedback about the heating, I'll make sure it's addressed.
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Perfect for what we wanted. We arrived with supplies whilst we got our bearings but had no problem getting more shopping in the week. Keswick is literally just a short drive and Cockermouth, a little further, but still only 20mins , has a Lidl and Sainsbury’s.
The house is really warm and comfortable after a days walking and is excellently equipped with everything you could possibly need kitchen wise! We even found flasks to make and take coffee with us on our walks and some tin foil to wrap our sandwiches so I would like to thank the owner for these extras that we didn’t expect.
We also appreciated the contact from the owner on our first day telling us to contact her if we had any queries at all , we appreciated the recommendation to climb Cat Bells with the kids, manageable, but with amazing views.
There is so much information in the cottage we did not need to contact Helen at all but it was nice to feel that we could if needed. The local pub is nice, good food, and comfortably warm but very popular. We dropped in but had to book for 2 hrs later which wasn’t a problem for us as we were only across the road but others may like to book beforehand.
The cottage is in a great location for exploring a good number of the Lakes, each one different from the last. I would not hesitate in recommending Fell View.
A bonus for National Trust members - parking is free as a member at nearly all of the Lakes!
