We were delighted with ‘The Faulds’ when we saw it and moved in for the week. The cottage is full of character, well-equipped, and it’s views are beautiful. We climbed Hellvelyn and Skiddaw which are both close by and swam in Bassenthwaite lake just up the road. The village shop at Braithwaite was very handy, especially for delicious ice-creams, and we found a larger supermarket at Cockermouth not far away. Our seven year old enjoyed the little garden and pond and bunk beds. Our older children also really enjoyed themselves as did their parents!

Hello Zoe, It's a lovely place for a relaxing break, isn't it? Here's to getting away from it all more often!

A lovely few days away, much needed given the current pandemic restrictions. The cottage is in the perfect location only 5minutes out of Keswick and very handy for days out with little ones-Whinlatter just up the hill, the lakes, and the Wildlife Park all within easy reach. Would highly recommend to anyone. The only slight issue was the smell of dogs (particularly the rug in the lounge)-quite noticeable when boys playing on the floor. But don’t let that stop you staying here!!
