We had a great holiday at The Faulds. The cottage is full of charm, very quirky, really well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. Views were stunning. The cottage could do with a deep clean as it was grubby in places and there were lots of cobwebs. Also the parking for a second car is a good 20 minute walk away, not 5-10 minutes as stated on the website. Would definitely return though, loved it.

The house is quaint. It is clean and well presented, the kitchen is cottage-like, some of the cupboards/drawers bit stiff. The main dishwasher is in the utility down the hallway, this was a bit inconvenient after dinner. It was a bit chilly on arrival since everything was turned off but warmed up after a while. Essentials to get you through the first night were ok but no soap so be prepared. Odd little steps inside adds to cottage feel but care was needed to remember that they are there. Parking with the second car was a bit inconvenient. On the whole a great cosy cottage with fantastic views out the front/sides of the house.

Loved the cottage, it’s location and all of the little notes dotted around Cobwebs could have been cleaned up but apart from that all was great.
