Falcon Place is a traditional early 1900s haven of a cottage near the western coastline of Cumbria. A must for railway enthusiasts with the Cumbrian West Coast line passing the garden, this semi-detached house sleeps up to six people in three comfortable bedrooms and benefits from wide open views stretching from the River Esk Estuary and Ravenglass around to the highest fell tops of the Western Lake District. The cottage has a charming bygone era feel about the exterior with every modern 21st century comfort you might wish for inside. There's a gorgeous sun room to the rear of the house making the most of every drop of light and benefiting from glorious views of the fells while a wonderful wood burning stove inside makes a welcoming and cosy place to pass a chilly evening. A perfect place to plan your fell walking adventures.

The proximity of the Eskmeals Dunes Nature Reserve, literally across the road, makes it a wonderful haven for wading birdlife and the nearby woodland ensures a steady stream of garden bird visitors too. Twitcher paradise! The River Esk estuary joins the sea very near the house. At high tide water blocks the road leading to Waberthwaite making this particular area exceptionally quiet by keeping passing traffic to a minimum. It really is a tranquil haven here where birdsong is the sound that holds sway most of the time.

If you care to venture out into the world there are some marvellous places to visit nearby. Muncaster Castle is a historic gem just up the road which has interest for all ages while nearby Ravenglass is a wonderful coastal village where you can hop on board the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway locally known as The La'al Ratty. This wonderful narrow-gauge steam railway winds its way up the Eskdale Valley to Boot taking in some of the most glorious scenery along the way. For walkers and cyclists, it's a marvellous base with plenty of quiet roads and undulating bridleways near the coast and more challenging routes towards the mighty fell tops just inland. So if you feel like taking a step back in time while also enjoying all of you more modern comforts then Falcon Place is an ideal cottage.
