Please note that on the nearby dunes the MOD have a firing range where they run tests and fire out to sea. If you see the reg flags then you are unable to use the dunes at those specific times. The tests are infrequent and shouldn't cause any inconvenience
The owners of this cottage will be providing a Christmas tree and decorations for the festive season.

Falcon Place is a traditional haven of a cottage near the western coastline of Cumbria. A must for railway enthusiasts with the Cumbrian West Coast line passing the garden, this semi-detached house sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms and benefits from wide open views stretching from the River Esk Estuary and Ravenglass around to the highest fell tops of the Western Lake District.
Entry to the cottage is via the large light porchway which has bags of space for coats and muddy boots. Moving inside, the house a has a welcoming traditional feel about it especially in its front living room or parlour. This lovely peaceful room has a bay window benefiting from wonderful sunsets and overlooking wide open fields out towards the coast. It has a leather sofa, two armchairs and a television with DVD player. The fireplace in this room is decorative. Off the main hallway there is alos an extra downstairs toilet room with extra storage space.
The rear of the house has a fantastic open plan feel about it with a second lounge, kitchen and sunroom/dining room. The living area has more comfy seating, another TV and a large woodburner set into a deep fireplace. Perfect for snuggling up on chilly evenings. The kitchen is a delightful modern space with an opening into the sun room making for sociable food preparation and ease of access for getting food to the dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with fan oven, ceramic hobs, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, corner sink and a huge old fashioned wooden dresser housing all thre crockery and glassware you will need for your stay. Through from the lounge is the delightful sun room and dining area. It has a huge sliding glass door out onto the garden which is ideal for opening up to let the outside in on warm days and evenings. The room has a dining table for six, a desk and a comfy armchair for enjoying a good book or just enjoying the views and the visiting birdlife. It really does make the most of all the light on offer, even on winter days. There's also a discreetly concealed washing machine in here. From this room you access the main shower room with its mixer shower.
Heading up the corner staircase to the first floor the house reveals some glorious views from the bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double, four-poster bed with a built in cupboard for hanging space, a dresser and a decorative fireplace. The large window benefits from a wonderful panorama of fields and fells including Stainton Fell and Tower (known locally as the Pepperpot). The second double room has views to the front of the house with Ravenglass and its estuary visible in the distance and benefits from those wonderful Cumbrian sunsets. The third bedroom has a 3/4 double bed, ideally suited to either two children or one adult, hanging space on the door and yet more of those stunning views to the fells and the train line. Perfect for railway children!
Outside the house there is a substantial garden with a mature shrubs and a lovely lawn. There is a wooden arbour with fairy lights under which you can enjoy outdoor meals at the wooden dining set while waving at the passing trains or just enjoying the birdsong from the nearby estuary and woodland.
